Mary J. Wallace Wooley of Warren, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 9, at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

She was born in Monticello, Arkansas, to the late Max and Fannie Bradley Wallace Burks. The family moved to Warren when Mary was five years old.

After high school, Mary and her husband, Ralph Wooley, moved to El Paso, Texas. They later relocated to Houston, Texas, where they lived for several years. While there, she gave birth to their one and only child, Toby. Mary and Toby returned to Warren in 1978.

Mary was a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. She was retired, but had worked as a beautician, an office worker at Bradley County Medical Center, Select Concrete and Work Force, and as a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her greatest love, her son, Ralph L. “Toby” Wooley III; her former husband, Ralph L. Wooley II; and a sister, Carolyn Wallace McDougald.

Mary is survived by her sister of choice, Donna Usry of Wilmar, Arkansas; a dear cousin and friend, Jeff Barrett of Warren, Arkansas; as well as several other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
